Privacy Policy

Alert sign-ups. When you sign up for deal alerts we store your email address, the teams you picked, and a phone number if you choose to give one.

App alerts. When you turn on deal alerts in the Tipoff app, we store your phone's push notification token, the teams you follow, and whether the phone is an iPhone or an Android phone.

Your location, only when you ask. If you use “Near me” on the website or in the app, your approximate location is shared with us so we can find events near you. We use it for that search and don't store it. If you turn on alerts for deals near you in the app, we store your approximate location (rounded to about half a mile) and the distance you picked, and update it when you open the app. Turning nearby alerts off deletes the stored location.

Preferences on your device. Your team picks are also saved in your browser's local storage or in the app on your phone, so they are remembered.

We don't use advertising trackers or sell your personal information.

We use your information to send the alerts you asked for, to show events and deals relevant to you, and to keep the service running and secure.

When you follow a link to a ticket seller or team site, you leave Tipoff. That site may use cookies, including to credit us with a referral commission, and its own privacy policy applies to anything you do there.

We use service providers to run Tipoff: hosting and AI processing (Vercel), our database (Neon), and notification delivery. AI models process public posts and newsletters from teams and venues to find deals; they do not receive your personal information.

We keep your sign-up details until you ask us to remove them. In the app, About › Forget this phone turns off its alerts and deletes what we store for that phone right away. To stop alerts or delete your information any other way, contact us at TipoffOfficial1@gmail.com and we will remove it.

Tipoff is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
